"Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities." ~Voltaire
I was a sleepy sophomore sitting in contemporary civilizations (philosophy) class at Columbia University on the morning of September 11, 2001. When one of my classmates came in after a short break and casually mentioned that she heard that an airplane hit one of the Twin Towers, my professor exclaimed, "That can wait, Plato comes first!" - a statement that she apologized for at our next class. The rest of that day was spent with friends and classmates, hovered around the television, contemplating leaving the city, smoking weed and playing video games. A month or so later, when the United States went to war in Afghanistan, I seriously thought of leaving college to go and "fight for my country."
I realize now how naive I was. Almost a decade ago, with everything inside me, I thought that I knew what was true and right. I believed the story that was recounted over and over on the television and in the papers, and my anger was projected toward the "evil doers" that my government and my media told me to hate. I now know better, and because I was able to eventually see the light, I have full faith that all the other indoctrinated and manipulated people can do the same.
Countless individuals have spoken out to question the "official story" of what occurred on September 11, 2001. Despite the many documentaries and posts questioning the narrative of 9/11 as presented in the 9/11 Commission Report, and calling for a new, independent, and objective investigation, we are no closer to finding out the truth of what happened on that fateful day. With ten years passed, the majority of Americans still believe the "official story" and are eager to dismiss those skeptics that question the chronology of 9/11. To those who continue to believe that story, please just watch a few of the over 30 full length documentaries and other assorted videos below, do a little of your own research, and see what you think after. I understand that the story as presented in the 9/11 Report is more comfortable to deal with than the alternative, but for all those that died on September 11, 2001, and for all those that were killed in the resulting wars that followed, the truth must be revealed.
