Our Weapons Come With Hands On Instruction!!

On September 11, 2001, it is alleged that a Saudi pilot, Hani Hanjour, who trained to fly in the United States, slammed American Airlines Flight 77 (Boeing 757) into the Pentagon, killing 184 people.

As we are nearing the 10 year anniversary of that day, and with the Middle East in a state of escalating upheaval, the U.S. government is planning to bring dozens of Saudis to the U.S. to train them to fly and kill, using one of the most advanced aircraft available, the F-15E Strike Eagle (another Boeing), reports Al Jazeera News.

Amid the Christmas chaos of 2010, the U.S. Air Force made a stealthy announcement that it had selected Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho as the desired  location for the long-term training of a selection of pilots and flight crews from the Saudi Royal Air Force, all as part of a $60bn arms deal between the U.S. and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In what was (innacurately?) believed to be the largest arms deal ever, Saudi Arabia will receive 84 new F-15E Strike Eagles. Under the Air Force's proposal, Saudi pilots will learn how to fly the advanced fighters at Mountain Home Air Force Base for five years, from 2014 to 2019, with the possibility of a longer commitment left open.  It must be noted that this is merely a continuation of a long standing diplomatic relationship (aka guns for oil) between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia that began in 1933.

So, Boeing makes tons of money (and other multinationals like Rockwell Collins), and U.S. soldiers train Saudi pilots on a United States Air Force Base.  Does anyone else find this ironic?  Ridiculous?  What happened to the Administration's plan on "reviewing all assistance given events happening in the region."  It's all smoke and mirrors.

Try to find this report in mainstream U.S. news.  Its no mosque near Ground Zero, but come on press, at least report!
