And What Have We Done?
Another Year Over; A New One Just Begun;
And So Happy Christmas;
I Hope You Have Fun;
The Near And The Dear Ones;
The Old And The Young."
Despite being desecrated by consumerism, this time of year marks the beginning of winter and the historic celebration of embracing unity and humanity to triumph over the elements of a dark and frigid season. Christmas originated as a pagan celebration of the winter solstice, eventually was heisted by Christians, and today is driven by materialism and corporate marketing. Although the U.S. majority celebrates Christmas this time of year, the occurrence of other religious celebrations during the month of December (Ramadan, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa) has resulted in this period being coined the "Holiday Season" by the politically correct.
Regardless of criticisms of the holiday season, it is a great time to assess the year past and set positive goals for the year ahead all while drinking, eating, and enjoying the warmth of family and loved ones. So, stay positive, merry Christmas and happy holidays, and as always, keep on Fuggin Suggin(.com).
