Some days we may focus on a single topic, other days we may just put up links to particular stories that struck our interest.  Some days we may just walk around screaming at people.  If you think that we missed something, it is more probable that we chose to ignore it.  Certain stories that mainstream news media focus on, we consider pointless (primary elections, Iran hiker release, j-lo on idol, george michael, lady gaga's meat dress, reggie bush and the heisman, avatar 2, etc.).  Please feel free to email us if you have any suggestions regarding the site or the issues addressed.  Now, let's run through the news...

A founding member of an organization run by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the driving force behind the controversial mosque near Ground Zero, claims that the 9/11 attacks were an "inside job" and that Muslims have been made scapegoat.  He is surely not the only one that has made that accusation.

Michael Moore has put forth an interesting argument for moving the controversial planned mosque near Ground Zero from 2 blocks away to right at the Ground Zero sight.

Is former President, George W. Bush, helping the Republican party in the upcoming election by keeping away from the spotlight?

Our fiscally irresponsible federal government reportedly spent $18,000 to hire a New Orleans man for 2 months to appraise whether news stories about actions in the Gulf oil spill were positive or negative for the Obama administration, which was keenly sensitive to comparisons between its response and former President George W. Bush’s much-maligned reaction to Hurricane Katrina

Oil at least 2 inches thick was found Sunday night and this morning about a mile beneath the surface in the Gulf of Mexico. Under it was a layer of dead shrimp and other small animals.

Congress has ordered the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct a study into the process of natural gas fracking.   Check out the documentary, "Gasland" for more information about how the process of extracting natural gas pollutes underground water supplies.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will hold meetings Sept. 19-21 to discuss the possible approval for marketing of a salmon genetically engineered to grow and reach maturity more quickly than its unmodified cohorts.  This would be the first genetically modified animal that would be approved by the FDA for human consumption in the United States

New research that examined the impact of byproducts of pool disinfection indicates that swimming in pools may result in respiratory effects and induce DNA damage that could lead to cancer.

Is Attention Deficit Disorder a biproduct of the "modern world?"  No shit it is!  Stimuli everywhere penetrating their brains and kids are supposed to sit still because we tell them to?  Check out the article before allowing your children to take the amphetamines prescribed for this "condition."

Can cannabinoids one day be used to cure cancer?  Wouldn't that be a kicker?

In a down economy, is First Lady Michelle Obama out of control with her shopping and spending??  You go girl!!  So what if 1 billion people around the world are hungry and in need of food, you do you!
